I was born in the Black Forest, Germany, and studied graphic design before moving to New York City in 1995 to pursue my dream of becoming a painter. Along the way, I discovered photography—a passion that became my life’s work.

I have been a photographer for almost 30 years—a journey that has shaped both my craft and my perspective. My career began in New York at the dawn of the digital revolution in the late ’90s, when film cameras still ruled but pixels were beginning to quietly change everything. I started with advertising and jewelry photography, but was soon drawn to people—their faces, their stories, and the moments that speak without words.

Over the years, I have worked with musicians, artists, and actors, touring with Foreigner and capturing both the quiet and high-energy moments that define life on the road. New York has remained a constant presence in my work, especially the view from its rooftops—offering a perspective that reveals the city’s energy and beauty from above.

For ten years, I worked closely with the Redford family. During that time, Bob became a mentor as well as a collaborator. From him, I learned that storytelling is about presence, depth, and the courage to show something real—an approach that continues to guide my work, both behind the camera and beyond it.
